Rule of thirds is when the subject is not in center. I took this photo because he is not in the center, I like how I captured him right as he was looking out in the distance.
When using the element framing you are using other objects to frame another subject. In this photo I took the State Capital of Kansas and had the trees frame around it. The colors are clear and the photo is great.
